A base oil RFQ template helps suppliers quote the same requirement. It does not replace the formal purchase specification or the supplier’s dated offer. Include only business information needed for the enquiry; do not place confidential pricing, personal data or bank details in a public URL.
Product and technical requirement
- Application or finished-product context.
- Base-oil family and candidate grade or approved property requirements.
- Required test methods and acceptance document.
- Current TDS, SDS and batch COA requirements.
- Substitution and change-notification rules.
Use the purchase specification guide and Technical Data before issuing the request.
Commercial and logistics inputs
- Requested quantity and whether it is a trial, repeat or forecast requirement.
- Packaging preference and receiving constraints.
- Destination country, port or named place.
- Requested Incoterms rule and version.
- Target timing stated as a request, subject to supplier confirmation.
- Currency, payment preference and quotation validity request.
Review the quotation comparison, packaging guide (Coming later) and Price Center. For large-volume handling, see Bulk Supply.
Document and destination requirements
List commercial, transport, origin, technical and destination documents already confirmed by the importer or broker. Ask the supplier to identify any item that cannot be provided or requires extra lead coordination. Do not state that one document set is valid for every destination.
